Evangelism
Acts 1:8

Many are praying for God to bring revival, but have a mindset that there is no personal responsibility in bringing it about. Jesus said, "You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost parts of the earth. Evangelism, or sharing our faith, is a command that came directly out of the mouth of Jesus, yet only about one Christian in 100 ever share their faith.

People today are looking for purpose in life. They are searching for significance and Christians have the answer; Jesus. The world is looking for a meaningful life, a relationship with someone who truly cares, a community of individuals who really love each other. What they are looking for is Jesus and His Church. in Matthew 28:18 Jesus said, "As you go, make disciples". The meaning of this passage is that we are to look around us and share the gospel with people we work with, live next door to, and go to school with. Many think they have done their job when they go to the house of a stranger on visitation night and knock on their door to invite them to church. It is easier to say ‘come and see' than to ‘go and tell'. Lifestyle evangelism is "as you go", while you are living, working, playing you show and share the hope that is within you.

Ephesians 5:16 says we are to make the most of every opportunity

Proverbs 24:11 ...rescue those who are being led away to death

Colossians 4:6 ...we are to know how to answer everyone
Acts 26:28 Paul tried to persuade King Agrippa to be a Christian.

Acts 20:21 Paul declared to the Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and put their faith in our Lord Jesus.

Proverbs 11:30 He who wins souls is wise.

Most of us live and work around tons of people who know all about Jesus, but have never been confronted with the gospel message. We are God's plan, His instruments that have been given authority to declare unapologetically that Jesus is alive and changes people.

Are you aware of the opportunities around you to share Christ?

Do you know how to proclaim the gospel?

Can you ask the 2 diagnostic questions to someone you think is lost?
One. "Do you know for sure that if you were to die tonight you would go to heaven?"
Two.  "Suppose you were to die and stand before the Lord and He were to ask, ‘Why should I let you in to my heaven?' What would you say?"

Are you faithful in proclamation of the message?

Make a list of individuals who you know are lost and begin to pray for them and for an opportunity to share with them the Gospel.

Get a gospel tract and become familiar with how to use it.

You are someone's only hope to hear the message. You're the only Jesus some will ever see.
