Radical for Jesus
The Fellowship of the Unashamed

I am part of the fellowship of the unashamed.  I have the Holy Spirit power.  The die has been cast.  I have stepped over the line.  The decision has been made; I am a Disciple if His.  I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still.  My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, and my future is secure.  I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, worldly talking, cheap giving, and dwarfed goals.

I no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, or popularity.  I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded.  I now live by faith, lean in His presence, walk by patience, am uplifted by prayer and I labor with power.

My face is set, my gate is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, my mission is clear.  I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, hired away, turned back, diluted or delayed.  I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of the enemy, pander at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity.  I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, give up till I drop, preach till all know, and work till He stops me.  So that when he comes, my banner will be clear.

This article was handed to me recently and has redefined for me the meaning of total surrender.  So many Christians that I meet are diluted and unfocused.  They are double minded and ineffective for our King.  What is it going to take for God’s church to return to the high calling of Christ Jesus and show the world what total surrender truly looks like?  The Revelation warns us that we have lost our first love.   I remember vividly when I first became a Christian, and as I look at some of the experiences that I have had with classic Pharisees within the church, I find I have been continually been drawn away from my beginning.  The songwriter says, “prone to wander, Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love.  Here’s my heart Lord, take and seal it seal it for thy courts above.”  The apostle Paul says in Philippians 3, “I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus as my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.  I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ”.

  • Do you delight in someone other than Jesus?
  • Have you lost your love for sweet fellowship each morning with Jesus?
  • Has your thought life been impure?
  • Do you excuse yourselves as only human?
  • Are you giving sacrificially to the Lord’s work?
  • Are you accountable to other Christians and enjoying fellowship?
  • Are you seeking the acclaim of others and the praise of men?
  • Do you seek forgiveness; keep short sin accounts, and a clear conscience?

Question: Do you feel the pull?  Do you feel the attraction to the world system?  My challenge to you is stay the course, do not let the world, the flesh or the Devil

(1 John 2:16) draw you away from the one who gave His all for you!
